2. Data we collect

Account and profile data

When you register and use the Site, we collect: first name, last name, email address, username, password (stored in encrypted form), location, as well as the status(es) and activities (whether or not related to audiovisual work) that you provide, and where applicable your profile photo and your organization account information.

Content you publish

We process the content you create or publish: film pages, organization pages, lists, reviews, ratings, comments, messages posted on the feed, listings (including the activity sought and the area concerned), as well as the exchanges and documents shared within discussion or work groups.

Technical data

When you post a comment, your IP address and your browser’s user agent are collected for the purpose of detecting unwanted content. If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email. Connection and browsing data (technical logs) may also be recorded to ensure the security and proper functioning of the Site.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Creating and managing your account and profile — legal basis: performance of the contract (Terms);
  • Publishing and distributing your content, interactions between members — performance of the contract;
  • Distributing listings to the relevant members according to activity and area — performance of the contract;
  • Security, prevention of abuse and content moderation — the Publisher’s legitimate interest;
  • Detection of unwanted comments and content (anti-spam) — legitimate interest;
  • Compliance with legal obligations and responding to requests from authorities — legal obligation;
  • Any sending of information about the service — consent or legitimate interest, as the case may be.

4. Recipients of the data

Your data is intended for the Publisher’s authorized departments and, where applicable, its processors acting on its instructions (hosting, unwanted-content detection service, technical tools). These providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.

Certain data that you choose to make public (profile, pages, published content) is visible to other members and to Visitors of the Site.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Content embedded from other sites

The pages of the Site may include embedded content (for example videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo). This content behaves as if you were visiting the third-party site concerned: it may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interactions, in particular if you have a connected account on that site. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of these services.

If you upload images, we advise you to avoid those containing location data (EXIF/GPS), which other people could extract.

6. Retention periods

  • Account data: kept for as long as the account is active, then deleted or anonymized after its closure, subject to legal periods;
  • Published content: kept for as long as it is online; its deletion, or that of the account, results in its removal or anonymization;
  • Technical data and connection logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes, in accordance with the recommendations of the CNIL;

7. Security

The Publisher implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access, alteration or disclosure. The password is stored in encrypted form. You are nevertheless responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials.

8. Transfers outside the European Union

Your data is in principle hosted and processed within the European Union. Should a provider process data outside the EU, such transfer would be governed by appropriate safeguards within the meaning of the GDPR (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).

9. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to set directives concerning the fate of your data after your death. From your personal space, you may at any time view, modify or delete your personal information (except for the username).

10. Minors

The Site is reserved for persons aged at least 15. We do not knowingly collect data concerning children under 15 without the authorization of the holders of parental authority.

11. Cookies

If you leave a comment, your name and email address may be stored in cookies, for your convenience, so that you do not have to enter them again; these cookies expire after one year. When you log in, cookies store your login information and display preferences (lasting two days, or two weeks if you tick “Remember me”; one year for screen preferences). A temporary cookie checks that your browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is deleted when the browser is closed.

You can configure your browser at any time to refuse cookies or to be notified when they are set. Refusing certain cookies may affect the functioning of the Site.
